Christmas and New Year 1999--2000
God saw that all he had created was good and he rested, at which point, due to extenuating circumstances, He turned heshe loose on the earth. Since that time, heshe has killed at a steady pace one forth of the population from Cain vs. Able up to the present hour that I write.
Heshe has done more than subdue the earth: heshe has endangered the earth. The earth and all inhabitants; be it florae-fauna, vegetable, animal or mineral are endangered or extinct, brought on by the sentient created one being filled with malice, greed and gain.
Heshe is not able to agree on a God, or what the same god says. Heshe refuses to allow each heshe to have heshe's own god or deity belief system. Heshe remains self seeking, self controlled, and even self destructive if that is what it takes to destroy another.
On the celebration day of the birth of a soon to be murdered Messiah because he had no first amendment right in a land ruled by a dictator, I find I must remember and remind all who have read this far of where we are at the ending of 1999 without the fantasy of tinsel and holly.
I remember all the rain forest, the red woods, the pandas and tigers and elephants and rhinos, the horned toad, wolf, puma, buffalo, the birds, insects, the whales and wild life sanctuaries. I remember the Parana River of Brazil, the Colorado River and my beloved Chesapeake Bay. I remember the place or animal or land that you remember that are now gone from touch and view leaving you with dim memories.
I remember the Native Americans, the tribes of South America, Africa and the tribes of the Balkans; the tribes of all Arabs and the 12 tribes of Israel. The tribes of the Celts, the Vikings, the Irish; Catholic or Protestant. The tribal boundaries that separate a community of thought and the borders that separate those same communities from each other have been and will remain armed and dangerous.
All this mayhem will continue until we realize our finite place in the universe that God saw as good. We are travelers on this planet earth, which is our starship through the galaxies. We are not supreme in all creation or given carte blanch to destroy what was a gift to us as our life support system.
From outer space our home appears to be a large bead of Lapis Lazuli without boundaries. Someday, one day we might receive a message in answer to all the messages we have been sending since the ‘60’s out to anywhere, everywhere. Perhaps then we will finally be: The People of Blue Planet called Earth.
