THEREFORE
LET US
EAT THE FEAST
PASS THE PEACE
BECOME THE LEAST
REJOICE: WASH FEET
Greater love hath no man than this:
that he lay down his life for his friends.
The Christ calls us "Friends"
Small Meditation on The Voice of God
THE TURN
by Gaylee Malone
November 10, 2003
The secret is in the turn.
The call to consciousness
flows from the clouds of meditative blissfulness.
The steady slow walk along the path of:
One foot-heel to toe
One foot-heel to toe
Slow
One foot-heel to toe.
Then comes The Call
both to look and see with eyes of reality:
View the path and turn;
Once again to enter the cloud
where reality meets The Mystery of Life
beginnings,
endings,
even you
even me.
The secret is in the turn:
Where is heard the voice for God,
always signaling change.
But small of change or great;
Mere pebble or stone of size,
or simple single grain of sand,
The results seem separate,
yet they are all the same:
A change is in the wind
that comes from the throat of God.
Once His voice is heard,
nothing can remain the same.
For in that silent twist of time we find:
The secrets of life are found in the turns.
OH CHRISTMAS TREE
by Gaylee Malone February 22, 2005
Hebrews gave us the reason for Christmas.
The Germans gave us the ritual of the tree and the Yule log.
The Russians gave us Santa for our children.
The English gave us lovely songs for the season.
China continues to give us a myriad of decorations.
It is truly a world gift to tell us to stand back
and reflect on the good things in our lives.
It tells us to look with hope to the future.
Our very life was the first gift we were given,
and I am grateful.
My Christmas Tree stands proud,
celebrating itself for no reason at all.
Perhaps we all should have more in our lives that we keep for no reason at all.
Soon it will be Good Friday and then Easter.
I will leave it up long enough to celebrate the resurrection.
